How can one determine what settings were used to compile an install of the Apache webserver?
At a command line type the following:

You’ll get back results similar to this:

If you have the source code that was used to do the build available then you can look in the file “config.log”. At the top of the file you’ll see something like this:

This file contains any messages produced by compilers while running configure, to aid debugging if configure makes a mistake. It was created by configure, which was generated by GNU Autoconf 2.59. Invocation command line was $ <strong>./configure --enable-so</strong> |
The text in bold is the configure line that was used.
